At DrinkFit, we are not just passionate about providing delicious and nutritious smoothies; we are also dedicated to reducing our environmental footprint. Sustainability is not just a buzzword for us; it’s a commitment we take seriously. We understand that every small step counts in caring for our planet, and that’s why we’ve taken several initiatives to make our products more environmentally friendly.
Here are steps we’ve taken to uphold our environmental responsibility and how you, our valued partners, can join us in making a positive impact.
Eco-Friendly Packaging
We believe in making responsible choices right from the start, which is why all our cup sizes and lids are made from PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate, symbol #1) plastic, and our fruit and chocolate bottles are also crafted using PET.
Our boost jugs are also made from HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene, symbol #2), another recyclable material.
Why do we use these materials?
Because they have a proven record of being recycled, unlike many other plastics that end up in landfills or oceans due to a lack of demand in recycling markets, while these smoothie supplies may come at a slightly higher cost, we believe it’s a worthwhile investment to ensure the responsible care of our planet.
Moreover, PET and HDPE require less energy to produce, which reduces their carbon footprint. They are also lightweight, lowering transportation costs and reducing greenhouse gas emissions during shipping.
Bulk Packaging for Sustainability
To minimize waste and reduce our carbon footprint, we’ve switched to bulk packaging for our products. Each bottle of our smoothie mix provides a generous 32 drinks before the packaging is ready for the recycling bin. This means fewer bottles are consumed, and fewer resources are needed for production and transportation, all contributing to a greener planet.
Encouraging Recycling
Recycling is a crucial part of the sustainability cycle, and we actively encourage our partners and customers to recycle our packaging responsibly. With recyclable PET and HDPE materials, we’ve made it easier for you to give our bottles a second life for various purposes.
Not only can they be used as water bottles, but they also make excellent storage bins, inventive DIY planters, and organizational gadgets – their versatility knows no bounds!
Sustainable Straws
We understand that enjoying your smoothie should be convenient, but we also recognize the environmental impact of conventional plastic straws. That’s why we’ve recently switched from non-recyclable straws to individually packaged, marine biodegradable, and home & industrial compostable alternatives. These specially made straws are perfect for thick liquids like smoothies and offer the same convenience without the environmental drawbacks. Say goodbye to the frustration of puckering, and no more worrying about harming marine life or contributing to plastic pollution!
Join DrinkFit in its commitment to environmental responsibility – together, we can sip responsibly and make a positive change for the world.
